Black Crow
Black Crow,
Fly away from my window
Your feathers ruffle distractedly
A bent beak
Pointy eyes
Black Crow,
Staring at me
You ask for something I do not have
Something that I wish to seek
You ask for patience
You ask for comprise
Do not ask for trust
And I will not ask for change
Black Crow,
Expectations low
Or standards too high
You asking me to understand
Is like me
asking you
to change how you fly
Black Crow,
So remember this face
As I know you will
I do not want the remembrance of you
On my windowsill
Because
Just maybe
your black eyes
Are to similar
To the void I have yet to fill
So black crow,
Fly away from my window
Your feathers ruffle distractedly
A bent beak
Pointy eyes
