Blackened Water
I watched as the scene fell from me. Everything was black like the dream I had had before.
I was lying on the thick, black water again, never falling in. My body was wrapped in thin, white fabric, and my skin pale, my fingernails purple from cold. Though I felt so cold, it felt so right.
A white figure walked towards me, slowly getting closer every second it moved. Within minutes it was next to me, an inhuman immortal extending its hand to me, a mere mortal.
“Your time has come,” it said, the voice bellowing in quiet echoes of the black abyss.
“This time, I’m ready,” I said, taking hold of the hand. I watched as the flickering, black water fell from beneath me and I was enveloped in the blanket of Death.
