The universe was exploding, each particle away from the next, hurtling us into dark and lonely space, eternally tearing us away from each other--child out of the womb, friend away from friend, moving from each other, each through his own pathway toward the goal-box of solitary death

This is an original poem, read by the poet at the awards ceremony in which it was honored for receiving first place. Enjoy!

What stood out was your confidence and your expression. Of course, "Mulberries" is an attractive title and it was a really nice poem.

I really loved it. Your tone of voice made it sound...matter of fact. Yes, you do wish you were a bird. For some reason, I believed it. Wonderfully read and written. :)

Nice poem, very nicely read. I like your expression, it worked really well with the tone of the poem. Great job! Btw, if you have time, please check out my poem, The Girl Inside, and all my other poems. Thanks!

I like the poem, but for some reason, I thought of Dr. Seuss... maybe because of the book "And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street"... sorry... random thought.

nice poem
