Modern Family MAG
The hilariously simple comedy “Modern Family” is generating even more interest in its second season. During the Emmy awards, viewers were expecting staple shows like “The Office” and “30 Rock” to receive all the awards. However, “Modern Family” won for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Eric Stonestreet). Those who have watched “Modern Family” understood why.
“Modern Family” has a lighter, more bearable humor than “30 Rock” and “The Office.” It features a dysfunctional family and shows how they collaborate around normal life situations in a humorous way. Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill) has a son, Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), who is gay and married to Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet), the funniest character by far. Jay is married to Gloria, a Latina fox known for her foreign and accented humor. Jay's daughter, Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and her family make up the third part of the cast. Together, they create hilarious antics, adventures, and mishaps.
No one will regret watching this show for its Emmy award-winning humor. The composure and professionalism of the cast make this show even funnier, because it really seems as though the events are real. “Modern Family” is even funnier than the all-time favorite “Seinfeld” with its awkward humor that is more true to life. This is why “Modern Family” is a must-see.
