Wednesday
The horror comedy series Wednesday is set in a small American city called Jericho. The TV series was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. However, it is based on characters created by Charles Addams, who was an American cartoonist. It stars Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others.
It is about 16-year-old teenage girl called Wednesday. Who is a cold-hearted, sarcastic and very clever. She is expelled of her high school due to misbehaving. This leads her parents to enrol her at Nevermore Academy, school for freaks and monsters. It is very hard for Wednesday to make friends, but thanks to her shrewdness she is able to solve a local murder mystery.
What I really like about the show is the charismatic performance of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday. I am also pleased by the fact that while the movie The Addams Family tells the story of the whole family, the series concentrates on the character of Wednesday.
My only complaint is that some of the plot twists are a bit predictable.
All in all, I would definitely recommend it. It is very intriguing series with funny and resourceful plot.
