Skid Row MAG
This is a conventional, but well-done LP by the new metal band from New Jersey. Skid Row (Sebastian Bach, vocals, Scott Hill and Dave "The Snake" Sabo, guitars, Rachel Bolan, bass and Rob Affuso, drums) lay down 11 metal songs on this LP, with not much variety musically, but with excellent lyrics and good guitar work. Two hit singles have already come from the LP: "18 and Life" and "Youth Gone Wild." A top 10 hit and my favorite from the album, "18 and Life" is rather different from the other songs on the album; more of them are in the style of "Youth Gone Wild." Although I've heard better albums, I like this one, and I recommend it to any metal fan. HHH 1/2
