Foster the People are classified as an indie or alternative style band. Members are Mark Foster, Cubbie Fink, and Mark Ponius formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, California. After releasing their debut album "Torches" in May of 2011. "Pumped up Kicks" became a huge hit reaching number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs Chart. In March of 2013 the band released their second ablum "Supermodel." Foster the People has been routing since the beginning of April selling out shows across the country.

I recently attended their show at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That was a sold out venue as well. Frontman/mastermind, Mark Foster gives the audience the a sense of closeness. You felt like he was singing directly to you. Foster gives off the impression that he really loves his music and it shows on stage. They aren't a boring group by any means. With hits from both albums no where in their set was there a dull moment. Keeping the audience interested the whole time. Filling them with good songs and a good time.

As the show and a to a close it didn't feel as if they had been performing for two hours. I never wanted it to end. The crowd was so into the performance you felt the joy in the air. Leaving everyone wanting more.
