Toy Story 2 continues the adventures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear and manages to shed even more light on the world of toys in a sensationally entertaining adventure that includes toys rescuing toys. The movie once again revolves around Woody and his relationships with all of the other toys, especially Buzz Lightyear, but when Woody is stolen from Andy's home by a toy dealer named Al McWhiggin, who seems to be only interested in making money and not playing with his toys, like Andy, the rest of the toys intend to rescue him. Led by Buzz Lightyear, the entire group seeks to discover where Woody is being taken to and plan to rescue their pure-hearted friend. However, a bunch of toys are physically limited, because they must jump onto cars, hide themselves in cones, and through it all, they must lean on one another and trust each other as family. Although Buzz and all of Woody's friends are doing whatever it takes to try to find Woody and save him, they can't possibly imagine what's going on with Woody. While at Al's house he discovers that he's not just some cowboy that belongs to Andy, but he's also a rare and valuable collectible from an old television show that used to be quite popular. Woody is now reunited with his horse, Bullseye, a yodeling cowgirl that might just be the bravest of them all in Jessie, and his loyal sidekick, Stinky Pete the Prospector. With his new friends, Woody doesn't want to leave, which makes things all the more difficult for Buzz Lightyear and company.

Toy Story 2 is a relentlessly entertaining adventure that hones in on what it means to be a toy through showcasing the world of toys and placing some light onto the concept more often than not. Delightful in its entirety, the movie manages to get to the heart of each and every one of the toys and what makes them click to create a tale that genuinely leaves the audience wanting more. The concept of toys being left to be the ones to rescue other toys is once again the theme of this movie, as it was in the original, but the movie constantly feels fresh and creative without ever missing a single beat. This allows the movie to create a triumphant hit that works on multiple different layers, while also giving all of the characters the depth that makes them so lovable. This adventure is surprisingly emotional and is capable of producing an entire spectrum's worth of emotions to truly create a moving movie that makes viewers feel in ways that they never imagined they could.

Toy Story 2 has a fantastic plot that allows the movie to become the enchanting adventure that it was always meant to be. The beginning of the movie brilliantly reintroduces audiences to the lovable and relatable Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and the relationship between them is crucial to the outcome of some of the other events that occur in the movie later on. The middle of the movie marvelously progresses the adventure along and is jam-packed with character development to allow all of the characters to progress in astonishing fashions. The enticing ending of the movie proves to be heartwarming, emotional, intense and takes advantage of all of the suspense and drama that has been conjured up so effectively in the original to truly please viewers.

Toy Story 2 is a sequel that manages to meet the lofty expectations set by the spectacular original to create a superb sequel that carries on the mythos and expands on them to create a movie franchise that is thought through and outstanding in its entirety. There are some real levels of depth in this emotionally engaging movie, and this adventure is able to humanize all of the characters, including Woody to show that even he isn't perfect. This sequel touches upon most, if not all, of the ideas introduced in the original and elaborates upon them to create a stunning sequel that is clever throughout and transforms into a movie that is just as wondrous as the original.

Toy Story 2 has the rare ability to be beloved by both viewers and critics alike. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a perfect 100%, which is just as impressive as it sounds, and a whopping 94% of Google users liked the movie, solidifying the concept that this movie is a good fit for a wide variety of audiences.

Toy Story 2 is a flawless adventure that carefully adds more content to the toy universe to make it substantially more interesting. The movie is an excellent fit for just about anyone and everyone, including children and adults alike. Not only will this movie surpass any and all expectations, but it serves as a terrific sequel that will make audiences as loyal to the Toy Story universe as Woody is to Andy. This is absolutely a classic that has a story that needs to be seen. It's that good.
