John Wick: Chapter Three - Parabellum proves to be an exhilarating adventure that not only continues and expands the John Wick mythos, but also provides audiences with a movie devoutly dedicated to pleasing them. The movie takes place directly after the events of the second one, with John Wick just taking out a member of the highly-esteemed High Table, an international organization of assassins that has control just about everywhere in the whole world. With John Wick shooting the member under the roof of the Continental Hotel, a safe haven for assassins that ensures they can't be attacked while on the property, he is now deemed no longer a part of the hotel's services, or the High Table's. Making matters worse, John Wick also now has a bounty on his head for fourteen million dollars for whoever tries to kill him, which means thousands of people in the city of New York all want a piece of the action and are willing to do just about whatever it takes to get their hands on the money. John Wick must now travel through the streets of Manhattan in order to find some place for sanctuary, searching for some way out of this mess, but as Wick becomes the prime target of some of the world's finest assassins, everything he has ever learned comes to the test. With nowhere to go and no one able to help, Wick discovers that he is going to have to rely on truly old friends, his cunning wits and whatever else he can get his hands on if he wants to have any chance of surviving. Luckily for John Wick, there truly is a reason why he has received his incredible reputation, and he has the fact that he is the one and only John Wick.
John Wick: Chapter Three - Parabellum proves to be a truly immersing tale that is action-packed, splendidly violent and consuming and also manages to elevate John Wick's battle prowess to the next level. While the movie may be overly aggressive and excessively gruesome for some, the movie is able to capture just how far people are willing to go for the prospect of life and money, which is pretty far. Although there are some fiercely brutal scenes, including some that only John Wick could successfully commit, the movie is able to capture the shear brilliance and awesomeness of John Wick at his strongest. When Wick isn't afraid of letting loose and truly showing the world why everyone fears hims so, he becomes quite the marvel to watch and the movie evolves into nothing but a form of true art.
John Wick: Chapter Three - Parabellum manages to transform into an adventure jam-packed with thrill-seeking fights, elaborately extravagant shooting, and assassins galore. Dark and gritty in its entirety, the movie continues the franchise's relatively grim tone with plenty of near-death experiences and an earnestly difficult challenge that may finally destroy John Wick once and for all. Aided by plenty of triumphantly unexpected twists and turns, audiences have no idea what's going to happen next, which makes the movie that much more unpredictable and enticing. Additionally, there is a truly excellent ending that brings everything together and ensures that viewers will forever be impressed.
John Wick: Chapter Three - Parabellum has a majestic story, a terrific plot, and enough elaborate action to warrant all of the movie's well-deserved praise. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie an impressive 90%, and an outstanding 92% of Google users liked for the movie, and this was all for good reason. The movie has just about it all, and with a fantastic performance from Keanu Reeves' John Wick, the movie clicks on all levels. As a successful sequel that lives up to the lofty expectations set for it, the movie remarkably manages to exceed them and create one of the finest ventures in the whole franchise. Without a doubt, this is truly an absolute must-see. It's that good.
