The Spy Who Dumped Me is an action-packed blockbuster that benefits tremendously from having a supremely talented cast. The film is exciting, entertaining, and is more intriguing than most spy movies since it stars two insanely gifted female actors. The movie tells the tale of two girls named Audrey and Morgan, who happen to be extremely close best friends. It all starts with the day after Audrey's 30th birthday, and she gets informed by a group of CIA agents that her ex-boyfriend was a spy for the United States and that they need to be given information on where he is and where he plans on going. After telling them that she has no idea about what their talking about, she soon gets released from the agents and goes to her best friend's house to tell her about the new information she has gained. The duo is then forced into a difficult decision that involves causing Audrey to shoot and kill another man, in an act of saving her life, after she watches her boyfriend die. As the boyfriend dies, he tells her to bring a trophy of his to Vienna, and if she doesn't, a lot of people will die. Because of everything that is going on and the craziness that occurs, Audrey ends up freaking out but decides that she needs to go out and try to fulfill her boyfriend's dying wish, since she needs to save people's lives and that it isn't too safe for her in America. This causes her to go on the run with Morgan and the trophy. Together, the best friends hop aboard a flight and head towards Europe and soon experience the greatest adventure of their entire lives. While in Europe, Audrey and Morgan have to deal with betrayal, terrorists, people trying to kill them, and gaping twists and turns at every corner. The duo doesn't know who they can trust, and this puts them in horrible positions constantly. Audrey and Morgan must become spies and deliver the trophy - a task that neither of them have experience in, making their mission all that much more challenging. As their journey continues to loom on, things continue to increase in difficulty, and Audrey and Morgan must complete the impossible or the consequences will be dear.
Even though The Spy Who Dumped Me doesn't have the most cohesive start, middle, and end, the movie is still able to have many highlights, including the awesome ending that captures everything and then some that the creators could have possibly wanted to succeed with. The actual concept of the movie is a great one and is fresh, original, and creative. However, the execution of the movie isn't the finest, but it certainly does have its high points. For starters, the movie is hilarious and is truly enjoyable, which is a necessity, since the movie tries to be part comedy. The movie is also part mystery/thriller, which furhters to continue to make the movie more entertaining than most spy movies, since there is a healthy mix of laughs and drama.

Even though viewers seem to feel contentment with The Spy Who Dumped Me, critics didn't seem to feel the same level of satisfaction. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a poor 49%, and IMDb gave the movie an also weak score of 6/10. However, a solid 88% of Google users liked the movie, further helping the claim that viewers were more fulfilled with the movie that critics. Although The Spy Who Dumped Me received harsh reviews from some of the biggest reviewers, and the movie is definitely not going to win any awards, The Spy Who Dumped Me is still a fun movie that is full of adventure.

As enjoyable as The Spy Who Dumped Me is, the plot has its fair share of holes in it. However, the movie is still able to become an absolute must see because of the film's great cast that certainly is able to live up to expectations. The acting duo of Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is one for the ages and helps to make the movie substantially more interesting. Without them carrying this film, this movie would probably not be worth watching at all. But likely for The Spy Who Dumped Me, they have a great acting duo that compliment each other throughout the entire movie and help to lead the movie into becoming a pro-women spy production that will hopefully lead a charge of female-led spy movies, which would do nothing but help to create more diverse movies.
