Role Models is a hilarious comedy that is a perfect mixture of wittiness, superb actors, and heartfelt, relatable characters. The movie revolves around two guys who work for an energy drink company. The duo, Danny and Wheeler, go to school from school, telling kids that they should stay out of trouble and be aware that drugs are horrible for their bodies. They inform the kids that they should instead drink a "Minotaur," which happens to be a sports drink with so many chemicals in it that it isn't even good for kids. Because Danny is fed up with his life and his job, due to the fact that he feels like their both a waste of time and aren't going anywhere, he decides to take out his anger. Danny eventually goes out on a rampage and states all of his brutally honest opinions out loud at a school assembly in front of an audience of kids, which is an action that could and should absolutely get him fired. However, things get worse from there. After Danny yells at the assembly, he then goes with Wheeler outside, and the duo ends up trashing a company truck. The combination of the two results in them being given the choice of going to jail or doing community service with a mentoring program. Thinking that the community service is the easier choice, the two friends find themselves being paired with a teenager dealing with adolescence and a sailor-mouthed fifth-grader. Unlucky for them, Danny and Wheeler soon learn that they might be way in over their heads.
While Role Models appears to be just an ordinary comedy, the movie manages to become a heart-warming that causes viewers to feel an entire spectrum of emotions. The movie definitely manages to surpass any and all previous expectations triumphantly. The movie brilliantly jump starts the movie and immediately allows the rest of the plot of the movie to flow beautifully. The middle of the movie marvelously progresses the movie along and magnificently sets up the exhilarating end. The enticing end of the movie is able to be everything and then some that the creators could have hoped for and is without a doubt one of the movie's greatest highlights. The finish is able to add an invigoratingly lovable touch to the movie that helps to make the movie so much greater than the sum of its parts.

Role Models combines together all of these parts to transform into an exciting movie that never ceases to surprise people at every inch and corner. Not only is the plot of the movie spectacular, but it also greatly benefits from having a truly awesome cast. Paul Rudd plays up to his role and then some, and the exact same can be said about all of the main characters, including Seann William Scott, Bobb'e J. Thompson, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Even though there's a fair amount of explicit content and foul language, Role Models hints at bigger issues, elucidates applicable themes, and becomes one of the better comedies out there, as well as laugh-out-loud fun. Although the movie mostly elucidates fairly cliche themes, like don't judge a book by its cover, and never give up, the movie does it in a fresh way that is both unexpected, surprising, and demonstrates the themes in an entertaining method. The movie also elucidates other real-life themes and truly shows the influence that a parent can have on a child's life. Although parts of the movie are slightly predictable, and the plot is slightly formulaic, the movie does provide a few thrilling twists and turns that are delicately sprinkled throughout the film. Instead of being just a typical comedy with a dumb plot, the movie creates a tremendously amazing movie that succeeds with doing so many different things, including combining a talented cast with a plot that proves to be exceptionally funny.

Although Role Models isn't exactly hailed by critics, it is still viewed as being a supremely solid movie. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a great 78%, which is actually a lot better than people would assume, since they are known for generally giving lower scores to comedies. An impressive 87% of Google users liked the movie, which isn't terrific but is still a wonderful score. Role Models is a fantastic comedy that is one of the better ones out there and is absolutely worth watching.
