Captain America: The First Avenger is the first movie in the Captain America series, and as one might assume, it revolves around the adventures of Captain America. It all starts with Steve Rogers but before he became the iconic Patriot many have come to know. Steve wants to join the US army during World War II and do his part to help his country, but he is a scrawny kid with health issues, resulting in his acceptance Steve will do whatever it takes to join the army, but every time he tries, he gets rejected. However, a scientist soon informs Steve Rogers that he will put him in the army, and he does. The scientist gives Rogers some tests to see his true character, and after seeing his courageous, self-righteous self, the scientist injects Steve Rogers with a serum. The serum makes Steve Rogers into a taller, stronger, better version of himself. While Steve Rogers is in the process of becoming Captain America, a formidable force rises in Yohan Schmidt, who goes by the name Red Skull, and also happens to be the leader of deadly Hydra, attempts to destroy the world. Believing that he's a god, Red Skull uses a power source from out of this galaxy to power himself and do his best to conquer the world.  

 Captain America: The First Avenger is a fairly well done movie that helps to further along the Marvel cinematic universe, set up future movies for greater success, and manages to make audiences fall in love with the heroic Captain America, who's just trying to make a difference in the world. Steve Rogers is portrayed as a very relatable character who cannot achieve his one dream, helping to instantly making him a rootable character. The beginning of the movie brilliantly commences the movie, and together, when combined with the marvelous middle that doesn't fall into the trap of being overly-confusing or too complicated and the enticing ending that ends things superbly, Captain America: The First Avenger transforms into a cohesive story that is sure to please. 

 The visual effects of the movie are vividly spectacular and truly help to capture the science fiction-esque that the movie conjures and the historical-fiction side of the movie that is also conjured. These special effects manage to make the comic book characters come to life on the big screen and make Captain America look like a real person instead of a warrior that can only exist in fantasies. Although the battle scene between Captain America and Red Skull could have been better, most of the action scenes are pretty amazing, and this was still an incredible movie that was fairly action-packed to the brim. 

 Not only does Captain America: The First Avenger sit well with viewers, but critics also seemed to be satisfied with the film. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a somewhat impressive 79%, but a whopping 94% of Google users liked the movie, showcasing that although the movie won't win any awards, the typical movie-goer seems to be pleased. For anyone who is a fan of Captain America, or for anyone who watches the Marvel superhero movies, or for anyone who likes good action movies, this Captain America: The First Avenger is a good fit for just about anyone and everyone.
