The Incredibles 2 is the highly awaited sequel to the incredible The Incredibles. After the Incredibles defeat a bad guy but look like the actual villains, since they end up destroying part of the city, they are once again forced into a difficult position of whether or not they should enter the light, seeing as being heroes is their favorite thing in the world, but it is also illegal. When Elastigirl is presented with an opportunity to work with a company that plans on recording superheroes adventures to show events from their perspectives, her husband and Frozone help to convince her to change her hesitant mind and begin fighting crime with a suit that has built in cameras. However, there's one catch: Mr. Incredible is going to have to take care of things at home while his wife battles bad guys. Mr. Incredible is going to have deal with complicated math homework, Violet's boyfriend issues and adolescent issues, and Jack-Jack, who has zero control over his powers that his parents don't yet know about. Things get even more complicated when a new dangerous threat emerges, and Frozone and the Incredibles must work together and use their powers to help save their city.

The Incredibles 2 starts things off brilliantly, and the beginning proudly manages to set up the success the movie has later on. The middle of the movie allows the plot to move along nicely without causing any plot holes, over-complications, or confusing moments that weigh the entire movie down. The ending of the movie is fairly enticing and ends everything on a nice, light tone, however, it is slightly predictable.

The Incredibles 2 is an excellent fit for families, seeing as it truly is a movie about a family of superheroes. There's at least one character that everyone can relate to, and the wide variety of powers that the supers have helps to showcase their diversity even more. It is also intriguing to see Elastigirl as the star of the movie, since Mr. Incredible was essentially the main character in the first one.

The villain in The Incredibles 2 is an intriguing threat that manages to pose as a serious opponent capable of causing massive destruction, as well as a bad guy that takes advantage of modern technology. The vivid visual effects are just spectacular, and without a doubt, they help to capture the science fiction-esque that the movie conjures greatly. These superb special effects are called on early and often, and they do not disappoint in any scene. The visuals help to showcase the true grit and might of the heroes, as well as make viewers jealous of the superheroes for having such tremendous gifts.

The whole thing is just exhilarating, and Pixar continues to demonstrate how they can make audiences such a wide variety of emotions at the same time. There's humor, marvelous moments, smiles, heartbreaks, and more than a fair amount of emotionally rich scenes that add a fantastic amount of suspense and intensity to the movie.

Although The Incredibles 2 had some mighty large expectations to live up to, seeing as it came after the world-wide success that was The Incredibles, the movie triumphantly lives up to these expectations. Even though the first movie is probably more watchable and is better overall, the sequel still manages to sit well with everyone who watches it.

Not only is The Incredibles 2 a massive success with fans who avidly waited for this sequel, but critics also seemed to enjoy the movie. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie an impressive 94%, Metacritic gave the movie an also high 80%, and IMDb gave the movie 7.9/10, demonstrating how different groups of critics all seemed to find that the movie was well executed. A whopping 94% of Google users liked the movie, further proving that critics weren't alone in their satisfaction.

The Incredibles 2 is absolutely worth watching, and it will not disappoint. The movie truly is incredible.
