This is it. The movie that started it all. Because the rebels have just scored their first win against the Galactic Empire, the cruel Darth Vader captures Princess Leia and holds her hostage, in order to make the rebellion slow down. After a crazy slew of events, young Luke Skywalker finds himself learning information from Ben Kanobi and being the owner of two droids named C3PO and R2D2. Ben Kanobi informs Luke about the truth of the world and the way of the Jedi. Using this information, Luke eventually teams up with Ben, a fantastic pilot named Han Solo, who happens to be the captain of the Millennium Falcon, and Chewbacca, who's Solo's friend and a Wookie. The odd team works together to rescue the princess, help the Rebel Alliance, and do everything in their power to restore freedom and justice to the galaxy.

George Lucas's ground-breaking vision created this iconic movie, which has now become like a popular fairy tale that just about anyone and everyone have heard of. New fans of Star Wars are created each and every day, and it's not hard to see why.

Where to start? The movie brought into the world the iconic saying, "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." and introduced people into the wondrous world that exists in Star Wars. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope introduces the dark Darth Vader, who is now one of the most iconic villains of all time. Fan-favorites Chewbacca, C3Po, and R2D2 have some fairly important roles and help to create the science fiction-esque that the movie creates all too well. The whole concept of the force is explained in this movie and showcased wonderfully. Light sabers are also invented with this movie and the entire concept is just awesome, and the electrifying weapons create some amazing battle scenes between good versus evil. The delirious Death Star is showcased proudly throughout and is one of the more interesting concepts. The movie combines all of these incredible ideas with a plot that is adventurous and exhilarating to create one of the greatest movies of all time.

There are thrilling twists and turns throughout intense parts of the movies. While some of them have now become better known due to the famousness of the movie, for the uninformed watcher, some of the surprises really are shocking. The vividly pleasing visual effects aren't the greatest nowadays, but they were pretty darn good for the time period, and they get the job done and then some. The excellent ending ends things brilliantly and is just carried out superbly.

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope manages to shatter any and all previous expectations, and critics and viewers seem to be equally satisfied with this exuberayting adventure. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a high 93%, and 93% of Google users liked the movie. There is a new hope for unfathomable ideas because of this movie; it set the path for creating outlandish movies and forever revolutionized how people look at and judge movies. The force is clearly strong with this one.
