The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel
If you live in Canada you have probably heard about the Canadian Pacific Railway. The novel “The Boundless” by Kenneth Oppel takes place in Canada when the railway crossing the whole country from sea to sea has just been finished. The Boundless is the biggest; most magnificent train ever built and is taking its maiden voyage across the country. Will; the main character has the privilege to be a first class passenger on the train because his father is an important member of the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway and The Boundless.
Will is looking for an adventure and that is exactly what he gets when he leaves the train at a stop to explore a marketplace. As he wanders farther and farther away from the train, he witnesses a murder in the forest and is being chased by the killer. He luckily makes it back onto the train in time to meet more people who are trying to kill him. In order to stay safe, Will has to join the Circus and wear a disguise and perform with the leader of Zirkus Dante and his lead performer. Will meets many strange humans along with some Sasquatch and other unnatural things.
Kenneth Oppel is a great author and his books are absolutely amazing. “The Boundless” is a breathtaking story that beckons you to keep reading. I would recommend this thrilling novel to teens both genders. It is a very exciting story anyone could get wrapped up in. I would recommend Kenneth Oppel’s novels to all teens. The “Silverwing” series are books that are also a great read by Kenneth Oppel.
