The Man Eater of Malgudi is a book written by R.K Narayan. This is the story of Nataraj, a printer in the fictional town of Malgudi. Nataraj and his close friends find themselves disturbed when a taxidermist named Vasu moves into his house. They feel that their privacy and seclusion is threatened. But Nataraj befriends Vasu. Nataraj was against killing animals whereas Vasu liked to kill animals. He hunted animals and stuffed them as he was a taxidermist. All goes fine till Vasu plans to kill the temple elephant that Nataraj liked. Complications arise and matters become worse when a murder occurs.
The story is a complete thriller. It will captivate the mind and heart of the reader. This book is a must for those who love thrill and suspense. But the language may be a bit difficult for young children to understand. Plus in the story the reader can get an insight into human conduct.
