The Things They Carried MAG
Let me start by saying that The Things They Carried is an excellent book of fictionalized war stories. These are so realistic that you would never think they are made up.
One of the reasons that I enjoyed this book is because the setting is Vietnam during the war. Unlike a lot of Vietnam-based books, this one is actually fun to read. Some of the most interesting parts are about the soldiers' lives and the bonds they formed. When you hear about the character's friends dying one by one, you actually feel bad.
The Things They Carried is a great book that will show all who read it the real hardships of the Vietnam conflict. Although the book is fictional, I think that the author included bits of his own experiences.
