This has to be one of the greatest books that has ever touched the shelves. It was a best seller for a while and gets a rating of six out of five stars from me. I do not like to read, but once I started this for school, it seemed like I was reading for pleasure. Holes kept me wondering what would be on the next page.

Holes captured all the points of fine literary work, with mystery and lying, stealing and deceiving. It makes you think that you are right there every step of the way. A lot of books that try to make you believe you are there make it very boring, but not this one. This is never boring. Because this book is so exciting, I finished it in just over four hours.

This book even inspired a movie and believe me, I was right there waiting for its release. There are a lot of good things about this book and a lot of interesting things happen - it's one book that is well worth the money.

I discovered two good sayings in this book. The first is from Stanley Yelnats' (his last name is his first name spelled backwards) grandfather: “It was all your no-good, rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather's fault.” The second one is from Mr. Sir, who announces, “This ain't no Girl Scouts, boys.” These are the catch phrases of this book and the movie. You will miss out on a great experience if you don't read Holes. This is the first book I have ever read that is better than the movie. I have read it five times and will probably read it again.

Failure is always an option.

I think most books are better than the movies. Just because you never get all the details from a movie. And yes, Holes is a great book!

i love this !
