“Self-discipline is like a key-it unlocks the door to the life you have been dreaming of.”

The power of discipline is a book about steps on accomplishing your goals, being your better self, having more self-control to achieve your goals. Daniel Walter is the author of this book. He talks about many things on mastering the art of self-discipline, but there is this one story that changed my perspective on this topic.

Daniel talks about two groups of people in the book, and he talks about how they are so disciplined in the things they do. He talks about monks and the navy seals. He goes on  saying that they are one of the most disciplined people in the world because of how they live. He goes deeper into monks; he talks about how they basically have to deny their life to live a lifestyle of a buddhist monk. They live a life that relies strictly on discipline.

Daniel has to be the most interesting character in this book because he shows us how he was a person with little to no discipline at the beginning of the book and at the end of the book how all the tips and skills he showed us in the book made him into the person he is right now.

This book would teach you how to use self-control and mental skills to achieve your goals. I would definitely recommend this book for young adults, teens that are looking to step up their game in life and want to become their better self. By reading this book you can develop the most important skill required to achieve the life you want.
