Things We Stay Alive For
The article "Things We Stay Alive For" by Samantha Krause was a heartwarming, nostalgic piece on a girl's last summer as a "child". The readers can infer that she is heading off to college because of the mention of her driving past her highschool. In the beginning of the piece, the narrator includes a few memories, some readers can actually relate to. Then, the narrator reflects back on all the times. I feel as though the piece was extremely well written and makes readers feel nostalgia. Personally, I can relate to many of her summer memories, making it easy for me to envision them. Overall, I enjoyed the piece.
