How to succeed in business without even trying review
I went to one professional play, which I wasn’t too enthused about at first. It turned out to be a good play but I got tired of it by the end. The best way to describe the theater is to take a really old movie theater and spiffing it up to look nice. There was a bar and only one stage. We all sat in foamed folding chairs which weren’t too comfortable.

The play was about a window washer who decided to make a radical change in his life. Thought the play he read this book called How to succeed in business without even trying. Mr. Finch, the window washer, soon joins a business called world-wide wickets. Within the first ten minutes you learn who the antagonist is, Bud Fromp. Mr. Finch starts in the mail room, but quickly moves up in the ladder of business, due to his tips that he is getting from his book. He makes good friends with the mail room manager, and starts to get acquainted with the boss of World Wide Wickets. However Bud is planning to undermine finch via family connections. Bud is the nephew of the boss. Despite his efforts finch is granted with head of the mail room. Although this seems good for him, Mr. Finch turns down the offer and surprisingly gives the job to bud instead. By this point Mr. Finch’s lady friend appears in the form of a secretary. Her name is rosemary, and she plays a major role in Mr. Finch’s career. By the time Bud has taken over the mail room, the head of advertising gets fired. Mr. Finch takes his place and starts to be recognized by his co- workers. When Finch presents his philosophy for advertisement, it is not taken well at first, but is set into action. His plan was to have a treasure hunt with shares of the company at stake. When plan goes wrong and someone leaks the secret of where the treasure is. This causes mass hysteria, and the boss goes haywire. Mr. Finch is almost fired, but in the end he is given a break because the chief executive admits that he used to be a window washer also.

The ending was a twist and everyone ends up keeping their job. Mr. Finch proposes to Rosemary and they are happy because she is his secretary. The book was narrated by a voice over a speaker that seemed to talk to Mr. Finch. Telling him what steps to take and when. Overall I liked the play, but it was way too cold in there! My grandma was complaining the whole time! Anyway I wasn’t too pleased about going, but it ended up being a good time.
