I have been to Portillo’s in Chicago and it is by far one of my favorite places to eat. My family and I are from Chicago, which is where Portillo’s is originated. Every time we go back to visit, Portillo’s is always our first stop. When we heard they were opening a Portillo’s in Scottsdale not too far from my house I was so excited. My first time walking into Portillo’s I noticed the environment and how the restaurant was set up. It has a downtown Chicago feel to it and it has every Chicago trademark you can think of. I thought that the workers were all very nice and professional. The lines always go by fast and they have your food out to you in the blink of an eye. Portillo’s is considered a fast food restaurant but once you walk through their doors you will think other wise. The restaurant is much cleaner and the food is at a higher caliber. I thought that the food was unbelievable. They have so many options and different Chicago style foods to choose from. I ordered an Italian beef sandwich and it made my mouth water. The flavor was amazing and it was filling. I also got the cheese fries that are now my favorite kind of fries. It is a good family restaurant because it is fast, fun and has a lot of choices. There are also healthy options like salads and sandwiches. Portillo’s also has a drive thru that is very efficient. I highly recommend Portillo’s to anyone who is looking for a good meal and fun environment. It is the perfect place to stop on the way home and pick up food for the fam! It is now my favorite restaurant and I plan on going back.
