Benefits of Attending Summer Camp
The writing titled “Benefits of Attending Summer Camp,” written by Christina Besecker, talks about her experience and memories of summer camp. Her writing left me feeling nostalgic and happy. When I was reading this article, I felt as though I was at the summer camp with her. When she said, “Summer camp has made me who I am today,” I remembered everything that I had learned when I went to summer camp. It reminded me of the activities I did like zip lining and another activity called “the flying squirrel.” She also talks about being shy when she went to summer camp which I related to because I used to be really shy around strangers. When she said, “I learned how to build and start fires,” I thought of when the camp counselors at my summer camp made a fire and we cooked potatoes and apples on the fire. The article made me feel happy because I was reminded of all the good memories of summer camp and being with my friends.
