Brace Face
The writing titled, “Brace Face,” written by Julia M., talks about braces. Her writing left me feeling nostalgic. In the article, “Brace Face,” it talks about what happens when someone gets braces, and, from personal experience, this writing perfectly describes it. One idea she talks about not liking is when she said, “Bloody gums, scratched enamel, and metal instruments fit for a mad scientist.” When I got my braces, I remember my gums bleeding and the dentists scratching my teeth. I also remember all the tools they would lay out while checking my teeth. There is one idea that she talks about that I disagree with. Julia said, Now even though this is true, she sees it as though the colors are ugly, and says that no matter what, they aren’t cute. I disagree with this because I love the color choices. I never really thought all of the colors were ugly, just some.
