Before Forever Ended
I remember when we talked when we met
How I used to draw sailboats on your homework
We always seemed to want to talk forever but couldn’t yet
We would just meet eyes from across the room and smirk
I remember when we started talking every night
We had a conversation about what forever really meant
You said forever never ended and I said you were right
But I still had a feeling that everything ended after forever was spent
I remember when we talked about how we wanted to go to space
Up where the world’s problems seem small
We were going to find our own planet far from this place
A planet with no problems at all
I remember when we talked forever
On our own planet we created
We knew that forever would end never
But I guess we should’ve waited
I remember when we ran out of things to talk about
Our whole planet went from hopeful to silent
Who ever knew the biggest problem to sprout
Could just be caused from talking from casual to constant
I remember when we stopped talking
Once our time was well spended
Now without you my planet is full of problems
Now that forever ended
