Trapped in this frame,
For all to see.
You permanently tame-
The genuine me.
I’m the ornament on the tree-
Oh, how I twinkle and I shine.
Only when you’re proud of me,
You’ll say that “you’re mine”.
Pinned to your lapel.
For people to compliment and enjoy.
Trapped in this permanent hell,
When you force me to play coy.
An ornament of your affection, is all I’ll ever be.
I’m your pretty little trinket, for all to see.
