"Then tell Wind and Fire where to stop," returned madame; "but don't tell me."
- Charles Dickens (A Tale of Two Cities)

Oh Chosen One,
The Tree of Vitality’s power wanes,
And on the horizon marches its bane.
Should The Great Tree fall to those who seek its power,
The race of Man shall see its final hour.
Oh Chosen One,
In this time of crisis, your aid is required,
To awaken the Guardians, for their powers must be acquired,
To save the lands of Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring,
And to take the throne, as their rightful King.

The author's comments:

This piece was written as a sort of prophecy which takes place in a Kingdom called Tempus, which has been separated into four lands: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring. In this Kingdom, the Tree of Vitality provides prosperity throughout the lands, but is under threat by an unknown entity. The "Chosen One" must awaken the four Guardians who were created by the Tree of Vitality to save the the Kingdom of Tempus and discover his royal lineage which has been forgotten by all.
