The silver boat is rickety,
Hangs from the velvet sky.
You row your way here, vividly;
Park on my faint heart, why oh why?

Time is like a boundless sea,
Only we cannot swim.
You wait for me where the bridge be,
You had whispered on a whim.

Those happy times distinctly passed,
My name long forgotten.
Now I am a lonely outcast,
My dreams, my hopes, gone rotten.

Your boat departs my lonely heart,
Bereft on shore, dreams torn apart.
