Cigarettes et de Palmiers
Never a dull sunset
Mon amour
Tattooed your name so I don’t forget
Mon amour
Winter nights but still the warmest
Mon amour
Seems I’ve loved you for the longest
Mon amour
And upon my face a smile
Mon amour
Haven’t felt this way in a while
Mon amour
Think I’ve found you –
Mon sauveur, mon amour

Cigarettes et de Palmiers is French for Cigarettes and palm trees, which I'm using to refer to the feel of California. My inspiration to write this came from a being in love and living in California. My refrain is in French because Im of French descent and I find it to be a language of love and it gives an old feeling to the sonnet. Im hoping anyone who reads this will get a 30's- 60's love story.
