1950's Love
The moment your heart stops, and you’re in love:
You find the perfect guy and ask him out.
You go together and fit like a glove;
Even though your close friends are full of doubt.
The first date was a blast: out to dinner;
It ended with a milkshake that we split.
My heart was beating fast like a winner;
The next date will be great-hope he don’t quit.
The second date ended with a sweet kiss;
We were both deep in love with each other.
Maybe he is the one to change my Miss;
Time to meet my father and my mother.
Two years later… we’re walking out married.
Together until we are gone, buried.
