Sundered Ties
A world set in stone the way humans choose
Where many are born, forced to be alive
Earth, the one place with many different views
A place difficult to just live and thrive
The state of Earth depends on perspective
In a state you may not come to accept
Whether life’s good or bad is subjective
Eventually perspective is swept
Soon comes time most come clean with acceptance
That hopes they may expect wouldn’t just appear
Then reality comes through the entrance
Facing it without tears or any fear
A moment where you sunder childlike ties
A replacement, this “new” you there to rise
