Sonnet II (The Wish)
Some people are happy joyous and carefree.
I help people who don't have that luxury.
It's mostly my friends who are not always what you see.
They may not look it. But some are broken and lonely.
If the people who endlessly lock them in torment stop.
They might just smile a real smile for once. Not fake.
The people who talk behind their back don't know they've reached the top.
My friends, those asleep in their depression, I must help awake.
I'm scared that one day I'll lose one of them. My closest one I worry the most.
I've known her the shortest amount of time, but I'd die for this girl. Any day.
The ones who ruin her life. They are the ones who boast.
This girl is my closest friend. So I'm going to protect her anyway.
If somehow I can make this girl smile a real smile.
It will be worth it for her, and me, all the while.
