Masks
I have no emotion under this mask
But, of course why else would it be there.
Really there isn't a question to ask.
Nothing in its emptiness but glare.
But I've seen your masks as well.
At school, crying without a tear.
Tell me if what I say rings a bell.
One day in loneliness seems like a year.
Though it's been some time now;
Since I hung up the over-used shield.
I endured those pains, but can't see how.
So I bottled them up and let them build.
How sad it is to be stuck with such a task.
But it has been awhile since I last played with a mask.
