"Sonnet"

I look at you with hope in my eyes.
But you do not share that hope, not at all.
Look at your lips, see beauty, but hear lies.
All those lies give you time to build a wall.
A wall, a wall to push me far away.
I refuse to let you make my mistakes.
Don’t do this again. It is not okay.
You make it, then tear it, you make it break.
All I am asking is for you to try.
Please just try, lie, and be happy… with me.
You’re the only person that made me cry.
I want you to see, I need you to see.
I don’t know why. My mind keeps drawing blanks.
Just send me on my way would you, Please? Thanks.
