Ignorance
The guilt weaves it's way through your troubled face
Your deep eyes give me no apology.
Over again my trust I did misplace
Because you won't admit you are sorry.
Forgive and forget? Not so quickly now,
I will hold you to each broken promise.
My anger grows as I keep asking how
Who I thought I knew could be so heartless.
My heart is shattered, my brain simply dead,
But still I keep on letting you hurt me.
Every time we talk I am filled with dread
I'm engulfed by the feeling like the sea.
I'll fake this friendship till I fall apart
But always I'll hate you with all my heart.
