A Setting Sun
Shall I compare thee to a setting sun?
Your colors were vibrant and rare
Your soft rays touched everyone
You were very kind and fair
A soft assurance you provided
Glowing, you sang your lovely song
Stead, you were the one in whom I confided
The distance your kindness reached was long
But the sunset's beauty is not lasting
Your time was short
Your shadows are casting
You forgot to think of those you would hurt
But still you went and made the choice
Now we suffer and strain for the sound of your voice
