about a boy or about suicide

“i scribble on the edge of the notes
and i draw red lines across my wrist
i write about how i can’t tell between
being hungry and being empty
because i’ve been both for so long
and i guess that’s why
i crave so much for the taste of your lips
because your cologne smells so sweet
and i hope that if one day
i’m able to press mine against them
i’ll be able to drown
the bitterness that has been
drowning me lately
even though i will never let you know
the story behind the white lines
that smile in a way so cruel
whenever your eyes question the truth”
