Worthless
An ember lives inside of my sorrow
Clawing, killing anything in the way
To hope I see the dawn of tomorrow
Or to take pleasure in another day
Feed me this burning poison misery
To feel at all would be but a blessing
Or cage my mind and throw away the key
And rest at last the incessant ringing
Yet I strive to give myself purpose
With lonely nights bringing a dark thought
Whispering in my ear I am worthless
Their slippery words make my work for naught
Pain like fireworks a vibrant orange
Balance swings becomes an oiled door hinge
