Tattooed Heroes
My heroes may be covered in tattoos,
But they do not deserve endless bashing
They saved me, became my lyrical muse
Voices, that caught me when I was crashing
The screams some don’t even consider music
Dried every tear, comforting lullabies
Heard with every strum of the guitar’s pick
Rescued broken souls, stopping suicides
They’re just like us, with problems and pain
Not frightening or scary at all
Music keeps us both from going insane
My heroes catch their fans whenever we fall
Encouraging us to try and survive,
Without them many of us wouldn’t be alive.
