Insomniacs
Shadows are cast with the setting sun
People rush with dwindling time
They scurry in cars and run
The shine slowly passing its prime.
Fearing it's too late to utter truths
To make the right decisions and pray,
For the sake of lost loves and their youths
They could be spared a few minutes of day.
Time refuses to stop for anyone.
Regret and sorrow will fill the heads
Of people weeping all alone
Wrapped in the satin sheets of their beds.
Darkness creeps up, we come undone
Rise again the setting sun.
