Drooping, dazed lids flutter shut.
Tense muscles loosen with ease.
Dirty desperate hands claw and pull-but;
they possess problems you can’t appease.
Enveloped in safety and late-night revelations,
and tucked underneath think, shielding quilts.
A mind’s break from merciless stimulations,
and a head restlessly adjusting for the perfect tilt.
Drifting, dreamy, fading
Reaching coveted peace
Lists and papers and calls- all waiting
Till morning they cease.
Voices and streaming sunlight make
Misty reality, I am awake
