Social Prejudice

What do you do if you are not thin?

Overweight in a slender commercial world

People staring, leering with repulsion

Changing yourself, developing a thick skin

Models on covers living in their own dreamworld

As thin as a popsicle stick, unrealistic

The balance is off, too big or too small

Not being thin isn’t an abomination

Dealing with bullying, a daily conflict

Their words, their actions, their stares, it hurts

When they are near me, I begin to free fall

Into a deep void of hurt and mean

Bigger people are treated like dirt

But they shouldn’t be, fighting battles unseen
