The Lonely Flower
If my love is no’n but a lone flower
One with nothing but plain lands in my bare sight
I‘d rather be a bee for an hour
To fertilize “lonelys” during my flight
And in this act of repopulation
I’d find and encourage my friends to come
As if to inspire new creation
To bang each plant as if it were a drum
But due to the fact that I am no bee
I sit and wait for what will not occur
And being different limits me to see
That I’ll not be what the others prefer
As common as ET’s from outer space
I wait for something that will not take place
