Deadly Secret

A long time ago,
A little girl was touched
She didn't tell her parents
Because she knew they'd hurt too much
She kept a hidden secret
That burned her deep inside
Although she felt no regret,
She didn't like to hide
She told me this dark secret
It filled my heart with fear
I wouldn't tell a soul
Until the day she wasn't here
She loved her family dearly,
But she had too much pain
My best friend took her life
And I'll never be the same
