Invisible Presence
Your vibrancy alike to the sun’s sparking streams
Delivered endless light across gloomy corners
Always one step ahead towards the path of your dreams
But some years past I became one with the mourners
You held on to life like tree roots which grip the earth
But heaven’s winds took you away and towards the sky
I desperately hope I made you feel what you’re worth
Joyous things vanished from life with the last good bye
Flowers withered as the clouds cloaked fading sunshine
Night consumed day and I fathomed there’s no return
Until I die and your world again becomes mine
Wishing life away is shameful and I’ll soon learn
All you desired was for me to look further
And again recognize the things I shall nurture
