&quot;Thou! thy truest type of grief is the gently falling leaf.&quot;<br /> -Edgar Allan Poe

I’m stretched out on the floor
And I’m staring at the ceiling,
And it’s such a great, big bore
That I think I’ve lost all feeling.
My toes and feet are numb,
My legs and hips are tingling,
Sensation in my chest is gone,
My head’s been sent a-reeling.
And I think that if I try to get up
I’ll surely fall to pieces.
So Mom, I cannot help you mop
The floor or watch your nieces.
You’re on your own with all the chores:
I’ll die of any more bores!
