The pain of love
Love, a frozen shadowy winter night
It slowly draws out all the warmth from you
It completely blocks out all of the light
The person you become is someone new
Love takes what I hold closest to my heart
It left my soul in a black dreary place
Not meant to be, I knew it from the start
Left broken with tears streaming down my face
Yet still, hopelessly I yearn to find him
The one that can fix was has been broken
But surely the light in his eyes will dim
Woefully never to awake again
His bright blue eyes and smile I will miss
On his cold, pale lips I place one last kiss
