Unseen Scars of the Victim
Body broken, battered, beyond repair
The physical wounds do not hold a chance
To the mental scars that bring me despair
Mem’ries of abuse stab me like a lance
Not true nor false, your reasons have no claim
But why do the tears fall upon my face
Useless words of assurance don’t hide pain
Comforts still let hurt leave its hearty trace
Many stand by and watch me cry and scream
Masks of ignorance on as they walk by
These ones are worse and haunt me in my dreams
It kills me that they do not even try
Bullies, bullied, bystanders together
Tear down the hopes and dreams of another
