Art thou an angel or a devil here?
Thou camest and thou livest on the Earth.
I shake and tremble when thou comest near,
And thou givest me both great fear and mirth.

Thou reachest towards me with a gentle hand,
A hand that has tasted both blood and rage.
Thou can turn all treasured gold into sand,
Or bring mankind back to a better age.

Thy tender kiss is laid upon my cheek,
And it burns like fire and ice as one.
Thy voice is pleasant, but thou dost not speak.
Thou desirest something, but cravest none.

Others flee thee, but I stay by thy side,
For I love thee, and will snub others’ snide.

I wanted to try writing a sonnet in "Shakespearean language", and I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out.
