Harmony
How can a storm rage cruel into the night
Where lav’nder orchids bloom under sun’s ray?
And violent trembles split the earth in two
Where Double Dutch and hopscotch kids do play?
How can a blaze engulf a city whole
Where robins chirp on sunny afternoons?
And beggar perch upon a curb in rags
Where strolling are those blessed with silver spoon?
Though strife and sorrow course through Earth as veins
So too does joy and hope and peace and love
But Earth is more of beauty than of grief
A sure sign of God’s majesty above
I’ve found that balance on this Earth is key
As good and bad must live in harmony
